 Regina, Saskatchewan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Regina was established in 1882 when it became clear that Edgar Dewdney, the Lieutenant-Governor of the North-West Territories, eschewed the previously-established and -considered Battleford, Qu'Appelle and Fort Qu'Appelle as the territorial headquarters.
Regina was incorporated as a city on June 19, 1903 and was proclaimed the capital of the province of Saskatchewan on May 23, 1906 by the first provincial government led by Premier Walter Scott.
Luther College (Saskatchewan) is a well-known private high school in addition to being a federated college of the University of Regina.

He was in attendance when President Hinckley and President Packer visited Regina in August of 1998.
