Some might say that Prince is older now and that I should just expect him to make the kind of music he's been making, but there are other artist older than Prince that have been around longer who make really vital and refreshing material, so I know that's not the answer.
Prince is and has always been a more complete musician than the One-dimensional Michael Jackson.
While it may not end up being ranked as an utter masterpiece in Prince's own canon, "Musicology" is definitely one of the better releases over the past two or three years of any description (not hard, perhaps, since it's been a reasonably light couple of years).

As an Apprentice Artist in 2004 and 2005 he appeared as Schiavo in Il corsaro and Vilaggio in Pagliacci and served as cover artist for several roles.
