He was born to Pearl Inez Beatty and Harry Clifford Beatty on Dec. 31, 1918 in Okmulgee,Okla.
Beatty was a longtime active member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church inMinden, having served as Sunday school superintendent and church clerk.
